This is a lovely small campsite in a nice rural part just on the edge of Reusel. The owners are welcoming and helpful. The facilities are very clean and there is a great communal sitting area where you can make your own coffee for a small charge. Just a short walk into the woods there is restaurant/ cafe ‘de Brandtoren’ where lovely food is served. The complimentary voucher for ‘appeltaart’ provided by the campsite owners, was a nice touch. I definitely recommend this campsite if you want a nice, quiet stay in the middle of the countryside, but with a restaurant nearby and a vibrant village within about 45 min walking distance.

Neat and quiet campsite with new, spacious, and very clean sanitary facilities. Next to the reception is a large covered area for communal use, equipped with a kettle, coffee maker, and a small refrigerator (tabletop). Next to the sanitary building is a covered and locked bicycle shed. The campsite is very quiet in a beautiful cycling and walking area. I was here last Friday. It was very hot that day, and I was warmly welcomed with a cold bottle of water. When you register, you get a voucher for free apple pie with your drink at the De Oude Brandtoren restaurant (which is located next to the campsite). I didn't use this voucher. I arrived on a gravel bike with a small trekking tent and found a nice, quiet spot in the shade at the very back of the campsite on a raised area. Ideal for my trekking tent and hammock. What I find disappointing is that the campsite doesn't seem geared towards trekking. For example, the price per night is €22.50 (including tourist tax), which is for a camping spot for two people with a tent, including electricity, a shower, and electric bike charging. You pay this even if you come alone, don't need electricity, and don't have an electric bike. Although the campsite was full, I was the only hiker and the only one using the communal area. Personally, I always enjoy chatting and swapping stories, but that didn't really work out 🫣 Of course, not everyone is interested, but it's something I always experience at campsites with more hikers. In terms of camping, it's definitely a campsite that hikers will enjoy. Add a few tree stumps or sleepers in the raised area at the back for seating or cooking, or put up a few movable picnic tables, a larger refrigerator in the communal area, and lower the nightly rate considerably, and you'll be back. But perhaps the goal isn't to attract more hikers at all. I wouldn't have been as happy here with a caravan. I found everything very close together. For me, it was a nice spot with my little trailer tent, with a wonderful shower and a nice area to sit inside if the weather was bad, but the price of €22.50 will keep me from coming back.
