Tasty schnitzels in the restaurant. Close to a reasonably sized town, where there is much to see. Camping had everything you need. Enjoyed my stay.

We stayed at this campsite for four nights and had a wonderful time. We had a beautiful, peaceful, green setting. The new owners, Jan and Sjors, are taking everything in their stride with enthusiasm and are implementing many renovations, including beautiful new furniture for the indoor dining area. We enjoyed two delicious meals from the very affordable menu. The terrace is pleasantly packed on sunny days! The sanitary facilities are clean but a bit dated, which they said they plan to address next year. The surrounding area is fantastic for cycling and walking, and there's a lovely swimming lake 3.5 km away. Emmen is only 6 km away. In short, a place to return to again and again!

The new owners (August 1, 2024) of this campsite are starting with great enthusiasm! What a beautiful location this is! It would be a disaster if they didn't make it a flourishing place together; they have plenty of ideas, and the first renovations are already visibly and noticeably being implemented. This is a picture-perfect campsite, almost park-like, with many beautiful trees and (flowering) shrubs and excellent pitches. Suitable for campers, caravans, or, like myself, tents. There are many different bird species to see and hear! And it's otherwise very peaceful! Fortunately, there's also plenty of lively activity and excitement on and around the terrace of the restaurant, which is also part of the campsite. It's a great place to grab a bite to eat nearby, enjoy a good cup of coffee (with pastry if desired), or perhaps a refreshing drink or snack. Passersby also find their way to the terrace! The surrounding countryside invites you to explore by hiking, cycling, or even swimming. The Kibbelkoele is definitely recommended. There are plenty of beautiful villages in the area, and Emmen is just around the corner. Drenthe is a wonderful place to be. Hospitality and friendliness abound—haste is a word they don't seem to understand here, although they certainly do everything they can to make their guests feel comfortable! The campsite's sanitary facilities are generally clean enough. In my opinion, the shower area isn't ideal; you can't adjust the temperature yourself, and it's a spray from a wall-mounted unit, so if you have long, thick hair, you can't easily wash it. I really miss a separate hand shower. Because of this enormous spray from the wall, everything gets very wet throughout the area, and the water doesn't drain smoothly either, so it's not ideal. Perhaps this will change someday. I had a few very pleasant days at 't Haantje campsite and can wholeheartedly recommend this campsite/camper site to everyone!
