We were looking for a campsite from which we could hike a few stages of the Pieterpad in what we considered one of the most beautiful nature reserves in our country. The Boerderij-camping deserves its 5 stars with flying colors. A reception building with plenty of tourist information and a modest grocery store. There are no shops in Schoonloo, the Pieterpad guide warns. Bread service. For this, an order form the size of an A4 sheet can be filled out! Very spacious camping pitches and many trees and shrubs. Next to the thatched farmhouse is a riding school with a nice canteen. We were lucky that there were many foals running in the adjacent meadow. And last but not least: the very friendly and helpful hostess Janny.

Wow! This was really great👌👌👌👌👌! I’ve never had such a spacious camper pitch before🤩👌! The pitches are arranged in a star shape and separated by a beech hedge. Every time guests leave, the grass there is mowed fresh. A very cozy campsite. Very clean. The toilets and showers are perfectly maintained. There is also a small shop on site and there are books you can borrow. And what is fantastic... the hostess Janny is SUPER friendly and helpful. In the surrounding area, there are many opportunities for cycling in the Drentse Aa and Hondsrug nature reserves. Highly recommended 👑👑👑👑👑.
