We enjoyed a few wonderful days at this lovely campsite. Since we were there at the end of the season, we had the place (almost) to ourselves. But we think the campsite is wonderfully quiet anyway. As mentioned in previous reviews, the campsite is very well maintained and you are welcomed very hospitably (with a nice cup of coffee at your pitch) by the farmer and his wife. We were particularly charmed by the beautiful sanitary facilities! It is certainly a place to return to if we want to enjoy beautiful Friesland again.

Small farm campsite with very spacious pitches, offering a choice of sheltered or beautiful rural views. The grounds look beautiful and everything is excellently maintained. Your caravan is neatly positioned using a tractor. You can use a trolley to transport your belongings to the caravan. No cars on the grounds, only in the parking lot. Wonderfully quiet. Very friendly and helpful farmer and his wife. The sanitary facilities are beautiful, clean, and more than adequate. The toilets (separate for men and women) are separated from the showers. (No hassle with coins). The waste disposal unit is nearby and is also kept very clean; no mess or bad smells. The only minor issue was that the water pressure is poor when multiple showers are used at the same time. There is a recreation room in the farmhouse (for bad weather) where you can entertain yourself perfectly well. (Sofa, table with chairs, books, billiards, games, info, etc.) Wi-Fi is good. Bicycles can be stored in a covered area where there is no electricity. A provincial road runs a few hundred meters away; you can sometimes hear it at night when the wind comes from that direction. It is not disturbing. Near the campsite, there are a few eateries where you can eat well for little money. Beautiful walking and cycling routes start from the campsite. The cycling routes (via the cycling junctions) pass by beautiful Frisian towns, villages, along the water, and through the polders. Almost everything is on well-maintained cycle paths. Absolutely beautiful. All in all, an excellent campsite in a beautiful area. Highly recommended!

What a treat to stay at this campsite. Located in the middle of the Frisian countryside, this is a beautiful, quiet spot to park your caravan. With Leeuwarden and Sneek within cycling distance and many beautiful bike rides to take from the campsite. Upon arrival, a warm welcome from the manager with a nice cup of coffee. The sanitary facilities are of high quality and are kept clean, so it looks as if no one uses them. Unfortunately, we were unlucky with the weather, but we will surely come back again when sunscreen is actually needed.
