We rented three Polyfalken for a weekend with a group. Everything was fine at first. Unfortunately, my eight-year-old daughter accidentally stepped on the corner of an open hatch, which broke off. When we returned the boat, we reported the damage, of course. Ottenhome charged us € 157 for it, even though the hatch was not new and the damage did not render it completely unusable. It could certainly have been repaired with little effort. On another boat, the tiller extension broke off the first time we used it. We could have claimed a rent reduction for this. Instead, Ottenhome wanted to have it replaced and only backed down after some discussion. You would expect a little more customer friendliness and goodwill.
