Excellent campsite for cycle touring. Scenic riverside location. Friendly and welcoming host.

This campsite has the potential to be one of the best. However it lacks severely in a few areas. The good parts are the location which is incredible on the banks of the river, so tranquil and quiet. Also the facilities are modern (one caveat) and clean. The showers are the worst I've used in 2 months travelling across Europe. It's pure greed. You have to pay and also keep pushing the auto shut off valve to keep it on. These types of showers should be saved for prisons only, not holiday destinations. There's also nowhere to dry your hands in the restroom. The price is also quite expensive if you factor in the two shower costs of 19€ for a night. No WiFi either. It would be nice to have some seats around the small tent area too. It's a bit of a wasted spot with being so close to the water, but I only to see stinging nettles. A couple of benches on the raised bit is all that's needed. Finally, I was squeezed in at the very end in my tent on uneven ground, surrounded by nettles and sharing my bed with the entire cast of it's a bugs life. You'd think as there's plenty of space for a small tent in the rest of the site, this could be utilised for one night?? A shame for such an amazing location!

Wonderful campsite, lovely shower block, which was spotlessly clean. Welcoming hosts, and a great cafe. We have been to a lot of campsites and this is one of our favourites.
