Beware!! It’s a beautiful place but you can only park in the assigned boxes, not in the middle. We got sent on our way in the morning by police (no fine) but were warned of this. There are no signs as I’m aware so it’s a bit of a the municipality needs money type of event….

Great spot to sleep over, very close to the beach and nice and quiet at night. Unfortunately, it’s often completely full. Parking/camping is only allowed in the designated spots, and enforcement officers (Handhaving & Police) come around to send people away (!and sometimes give fines) if they’re outside of them. Honestly, adding just 3–4 extra spots in the middle would not harm anyone and would make a big difference. What’s really missing is a toilet block. Right now, a lot of people relieve themselves on the nearby horse path – not very pleasant for anyone. Can we please fix this, Municipality Rotterdam??

Handy place to park up and enjoy the beach / coastline. Parking is free for 48 hours and the hard area is quite at night and feels safe. The local fish and chip shop sells good fish and chips and has a handy tap at the back of the cabin to fill up at any time.
