Winter camping? Not a problem! Testing out our new tent at temperatures of 2 below was a happy experience at Campingpark Duinpan. All types of stays are possible, cabin, caravans, motorhomes and tents. Facilities are top end and pitches include water, power, TV connections as well as waste water in one handy location. Mature hedges ensure privacy and lots of birds. There's a playground for the little ones. Many walks in the local flower bulb district. Beach is only a mile away with a nice dune walk in between. Noordwijkerhout and shops are a mile in the other direction. Friendly and attentive staff. Well worth a visit but book early as spaces fill quickly.

We had a very nice Chalet, located directly at a small lake. This Chalet was absolutely cosy, very clean and shiny. Usually we are very critical with accomodations and usually we find at least one negative detail, but this time (as hard as we tried) we found really nothing to critizise. Even our dog was welcomed very friendly, with some treats and doggy bags. We can really highly recommend De Duinpan, especially for dog owners. Deffinately we will come back!

Paid in full in April for ourselves and friends to stay for 2 nights in August. Unbeknown to me the second payment went through without a reference. We had a call enroute asking if we were still coming which we thought odd - no mention on the phone about payment missing. We checked in and had pitches next to each other (had already requested this but had to ask again on check in). Mention was made about extra electricity charges if we go over their daily allowance but still no mention that our payment was classed as missing. We were given pitches 31 and 32 and parked at pitch 32 and 33 without realising as a motorhome was already on pitch 31 obscuring the number and there was no number on pitch 33. The pitches are well protected in banks of 3 shielded by high hedges. There is a sand base to park on which is quite awful due to sand being dragged inside the van however hard you try not to. There is a great restaurant on site and you are only 1 mile away from a gorgeous beach and very close to many cycle paths. Whilst there we cycled to Leiden and Haarlem coming back both days via coastal bikeways with beautiful dunes - just stunning. On the second morning the owner came into our bank of 3 and was very cross with us that we had not parked in pitches 31 and 32. We pointed out that the MH that was in 31 had only just left so that would have been difficult as he was there all night. It is obviously not our job to check on who is there and who should be gone. She told us to stay where we were so that was good. On the final morning when we were leaving I went to reception to see if we owed any money with regards to electricity and was told that it was all OK but that I hadn’t paid for my pitch. I showed my bank statement which clearly had 2 entries for both pitches paid on the same day. The lady refused to believe me and just kept saying I had not paid and was really really rude about it. I said I have paid and that I was leaving at which point she threatened to block the campsite entrance unless I paid her. She asked me to look at her computer system to see that I had not paid and I agreed to look and my payment was there but didn’t have a reference attached to it but the account number and amount was identical to the other payment - very simple to have seen. I got no apology from her and she just said she was disappointed. This woman is quite clearly in the wrong job and her rudeness does not match the qualities required for a customer facing job.
