What a fantastic campsite this is! It's part of the Dutch Caravan Club, NCC. Members only, but anyone is welcome. Just like the football club and the allotment garden association. Run by and for volunteers. The atmosphere is fantastic. Because it's a club, you automatically bond with all the other campers. But nothing is mandatory, everything is allowed. Fancy helping the manager trim the hedge? He'll be happy to help. Mowing the lawn, painting posts, etc., etc. It's all possible. The toilets are spotlessly clean. The showers are truly unique; have you ever seen so many mirrors? And the showers are highly adjustable. No coins, passes, or other nonsense. Watching Formula 1 together is much more fun than being alone in your own caravan. Cycling is especially enjoyable here because of the many stalls you'll encounter along the way.

It was still too early to put the caravan in storage, so we decided to spend another week exploring. The Spekberg was our destination; we hadn't been there before, so it was a great opportunity to get acquainted. And as far as we were concerned, this introduction was a success. A beautiful site in a wooded area with many opportunities for hiking and cycling. Nearby towns like Venlo, Maasbree, and Panningen are also worth a visit. The hospitality left nothing to be desired; we were literally in luck. The day we arrived, we concluded with a sumptuous Indonesian rice table, and we were able to join in. After a week of cycling, hiking, and geocaching, we were able to return home satisfied. Thanks to the Spekberg team.

A great campsite with very friendly and accommodating owners. There's a playground for children, dogs are welcome and can run around in the adjacent forest, the showers and restrooms are very clean, and the pitches are spacious. We'd love to come back!
