What a wonderful, peaceful campsite, nestled among farms, fields, forests, and nature. Friendly owners. The sanitary facilities are clean and well-maintained.

We had a great night camping here. Our host was super friendly and kind. He help us planning our next days cycle route and gave us plenty of recommendations of which were very worth while. The Canadian war cemetery being one of the highlights of our time there. A sobering and very moving experience for a couple of aging Kiwis. Well worth a visit. You couldn't meet a friendlier bunch of campers. All eager and willing to make conversation in language that is not there own. Holten is a beautiful part of the Netherlands and this is a great place to base yourself and see it from.

What a lovely atmosphere at this campsite; we are from this region ourselves, but the peace and quiet are so wonderful. Everyone has been coming here for years, so they know almost everyone from all corners of the world. It’s not that they stick together, but there is a friendly chat now and then, playing pétanque, eating pancakes together, or going out for a walk. Dika, Jopie, Henry, and Marjan, the owners, also bring a great atmosphere all around. Always something to talk about and super friendly. In the Twente dialect: 'Good people'. The chicken, rooster, Sem the dog, pony, horse, and the bulls give you a real rural feeling. Walking and cycling past picturesque villages. All in all, we enjoyed 6 weeks.
