Visited this well-maintained campsite again. It gets more beautiful every year thanks to the landscaping. As usual, the grass is nice and short, and not mowed so boringly and super-neatly everywhere, for example around trees or along stones. It creates a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. Ronald was just as cheerful and helpful as always. It felt just like coming home. A really nice campsite, and anyone complaining about waste separation needs to take a good look at themselves instead of badmouthing someone else on the internet because they were caught engaging in inappropriate behavior.

I'm enjoying this campsite immensely and am just leisurely reading Harry Verdaasdonk's review. It's clearly a case of complaining to justify the 3 stars. If people put plastic and green waste together in one bag and throw it in the residual waste, that's certainly not a mistake. Let's be honest. Then there's the whining about extension cords in all weathers... name me a campsite where there aren't extension cords running from the caravan or camper to the electricity pole. That would be dangerous for small children... don't parents here have a responsibility to keep their children with them? So, basically, they're saying every campsite is dangerous, and then they whine about a tuft of grass... it's really a stretch. He's right about the owner, though. A friendly, helpful guy who's always up for a laugh.

We had a wonderful time, staying for two periods totaling four weeks. A beautiful, park-like campsite with good quality grounds and clean pitches. It's excellently run by a cheerful, helpful campsite owner. The sanitary facilities are adequate and as clean as the staff are. Conveniently close to supermarkets and terraces in Markelo. A fantastic area for cycling. This campsite still gives you that authentic camping experience. We will be back. John and Marion Broos
