About camping in Charente-Maritime
Atlantic coast between the Vendée and the Gironde estuary, in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, with the islands of Ré and Oléron joined to the mainland by bridges. Campsites lie on both islands, along the coast around Royan and in the pine woods behind the beaches. The area is the whole département, so it also covers the farmland and towns inland such as Saintes.
