About camping in Sauerland

Wooded hills and reservoirs in the south-east of North Rhine-Westphalia, the nearest uplands for much of the Ruhr and the Netherlands. Campsites lie by the reservoirs, such as the Sorpesee and the Biggesee, and in the valleys around Winterberg. In winter the higher villages are a ski area.
