A Baltic island shared with Poland, with a long sandy beach and the old seaside resorts of Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf and Bansin. Campsites lie behind the dunes on the sea side and on the quieter lagoon to the west. The island is reached over bridges at Wolgast and Zecherin.
