We enjoyed this wonderfully peaceful campsite. The welcome was warm! And right away, we received a helpful explanation about the campsite and what we could do. They also pointed out the potential danger of blue-green algae in prolonged, hot weather, which I personally appreciate.

A very nice, compact, small campsite, suitable for all ages. Not the usual "you have to stand this way" mentality. Toilet facilities are excellent! A supermarket is around the corner, as is a restaurant with reasonable prices. And where else do you see the manager checking the restrooms late at night? Chickens happily roam around here, and the cat purrs on the garden chair in the morning. In short, we love it here at the Geeuw.

It's a cozy, green, super relaxed, and atmospheric little site with lovely spots. There's something for everyone. You can take a refreshing dip from the jetty. Wonderful. The owners are very hospitable and friendly. You can also walk into the beautiful town of IJlst and do some grocery shopping just around the corner. We'll definitely be back.
