As one of the last guests of this season, we enjoyed a midweek stay at De Bonte Fries. It is small-scale, child-friendly, has a nice variety of animals, a hay barn with a rope swing (a favorite with the kids), and much more. The children had a great time. Marije is a super friendly hostess who, with infectious enthusiasm, ensured we had a wonderful stay. As a hard-working farmer, Farmer Piet also keeps an eye on his guests and is always up for a chat. Super nice people! Highly recommended, even in less-than-perfect weather.

We really enjoyed farm life here combined with the convenience of glamping. Our children were busy with the animals all day long: cuddling rabbits, grooming ponies, playing in the hay barn, and racing around the grounds on go-karts. They had such a great time that I (as a mother) was able to truly relax too. Farmer Piet and his wife Marije are incredibly hospitable and helpful. You can tell they do this with love in everything they do. Nothing is too much trouble, and you immediately feel welcome. The tent was super comfortable and ideally located, overlooking the playground. So you could relax on your own patio while the kids were still playing. And after an active day, it was wonderful to come back to a tent with a private bathroom and bathtub. The surroundings are also beautiful—but honestly, you hardly need to leave the campsite. There's so much to do on the grounds itself that even a rainy day is no problem. In short: highly recommended for families with children. We will definitely come back! 🐴🐄🐑☀️

We're traveling by bike with a tent. We spent the night of June 9th, 2025, at a lush, green campsite with plenty of space. The manager is a welcoming and kind woman. She speaks French and loves France. I highly recommend this campsite; they have a sheltered area in a shed in case of rain. Make the detour; this lovely couple and the reasonable price for campers will win you over. 😊👍
