TOP-NOTCH CAMPING IN A TOP-NOTCH LOCATION. We just spent over two weeks at Camping De Herberg, with a beautiful view of the dammed Meuse River. Besides the location being simply top-notch, the sanitary facilities are also excellent. Manager Lien is always ready to assist you with advice and support, and owners Marry and Bernita are always ready to help. Loevesteijn Castle and towns like Zaltbommel, Gorinchem, Heusden, Woudrichem, and 's-Hertogenbosch are nearby and definitely worth a visit. In short: a wonderful campsite where we will definitely return soon.

A wonderfully quiet, small-scale campsite near a beach on the dammed Meuse River. Excellent sanitary facilities. Dogs are welcome. Friendly owners.

This afternoon we took it easy and are now at SVR campsite De Herberg in Veen. A tiny campsite at the foot of the dike overlooking the Afgedamde Maas. It is wonderfully quiet here, with a few sheep occasionally bleating to our left. To our right is a lady on a bicycle with a tent, following the course of the Maas from France. With birds playing their concert and the sun showing itself briefly before setting like an orange ball. This time, it was a transit campsite for us.
