Poorly maintained campsite: overflowing bins, unkempt toilets. Many long-term rentals, mostly for workers. However, there is a shelter for campers.

What a wonderful week at Camping Koggenland. The weather was fantastic and we had a wonderful time. The children played both indoors in the play hall and outside in the sun. A holiday through and through!

It's a shame I have to write this bad review. We (4 people) have loved going to your campsite for several summer holidays, and it was always clean and the staff very friendly. We last vacationed with you the summer before the pandemic, but we really wanted to spend our holiday with Wuch this year, as we always enjoyed it there so much. Unfortunately, we experienced a huge disappointment. When we arrived at the campsite, we noticed that some things had changed. There were more accommodation options. That's manageable. But when we entered the Trekkershut, we got our first shock. It was crammed with sleeping accommodations, so we had to make room for our suitcases before we could even unload them. After the initial shock, the second shock came when we tried to prepare our meal. All the kitchen utensils were used and unwashed in the cupboard. The metal bowls still reeked of seasoning from fries. The cooking pots still had food residue on them. The cutlery wasn't washed either. Well, what can you say? We'd rented it and, even after a long journey, didn't have the time or inclination to look for something else. We wanted to make the best of it. But the next disappointment wasn't long in coming. On the next two evenings, we observed some of the campers getting together for smoking parties. That's where my understanding ends. You want to be a children's paradise, and you've already got a bronze medal there. Where children are running around playing, illegal things are allowed, or you're so blind that you don't notice. And another thing: when you, as the owner, enter your rented property, wouldn't it be more polite to knock on the door before entering? *¹ The situation was as follows: Heavy rain was forecast. Our children were in the cabin when an angry person burst in and yelled at them, demanding they bring their belongings (a highchair we didn't need, a clothes rack, and a small table with two broken plastic chairs) from the covered veranda inside, as these items shouldn't be outside. *1 What would this person have done if none of us had been there? Or if we hadn't been asleep? Or, or, or...? On top of that, we had water damage in the kitchen corner during that one week; see attached photo. Since it's not possible to give negative stars, I have to give one. And we won't be coming back, no matter what anyone else writes positively. It's definitely not recommended to vacation there with children.
