What a lovely campsite. The setting near the water is beautiful. Getting into Amsterdam is easily less than an hour (regular bus service to Amsterdam Nord then the metro into the centre). Note that the bus service is operated by a different company to the Metro though, so GVB day tickets won't include the bus. I read reviews saying the lady who runs the site wasn't pleasant but she was lovely to us and even gave our youngest some free bubbles to play with. I would highly recommend booking in advance as there is no reception on site (she comes round periodically to check people in). The sanitary facilities are basic (bring your own toilet roll) but there is hot water. Yes, it's more expensive than some sites but there are so few options this close to Amsterdam it is what I'd expect. Lovley little campsite. Lovely views of the water and super easy to get to Amsterdam. Toilets and pot washing area could be better.

Very nice camp ground just outside of Amsterdam directly on a lake. If you plan to visit the city by bike, this is a perfect starting point.
