We stayed here in mid-August. Even though the campsite was still about half full that weekend, we still found it peaceful. The sanitary facilities are very clean, with toilet paper and soap provided. The campsite is green, and there are some permanent pitches, but at least 70% of the pitches were for passing visitors.

Upon arrival, we were allowed to choose our own spot, but only two paths. Once we were all set up (we chose the smallest spot because it had shade), we discovered after a few days that the natural camping area was in a different part of the campsite. Everything there was much more spacious, with plenty of shade and a beautiful view. Our children always had a great time and had laid out blankets, which we neatly tidied up in the evening and set aside for the owner when he wanted to mow the lawn. The owner mows several times a day and very close to the guests (another guest said the owner almost ran over his feet). He was also very angry that the children were "taking up several spots." Of course, when people came to look, we politely said goodbye and told them that the spot was free. We heard from other people that our children had such a wonderful time playing. They put on "shows" and performed "circuses" with sticks, etc. Unfortunately, the owner doesn't appreciate children playing. I also heard from guests with permanent pitches that they received a note under their tent stating they "had to leave within three months." No personal conversation. The sanitary facilities are clean, although we couldn't shower or use the toilet after it had been cleaned because the very strong cleaning agents were very irritating. The shower lasts for 5 minutes, and then if you want to shower again, you have to wait a few minutes for the timer to restart. The note said you could just press the button, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. (Very inconvenient if you're showering the children together, which takes longer than 5 minutes). The website mentioned natural water where you could swim. Unfortunately, the owner told us he deliberately didn't have a jetty because there was a lot of blue-green algae. So, to avoid disappointing the children who were already waiting in their swimsuits, we went to the swimming pool in the village. All in all, we thought it was a really beautiful place, but the owner could really improve his communication skills. And an adjustment on the site is also useful.

Really beautiful camping place. Pitches are very spacious but private. Possible to rent a kayak, canoe or motor boat and take a canal trip.
