Long weekend with our own camping gear. Another wonderful little campsite on our to-do list. Friendly owners. Peace and quiet are the key here. Large pitches with paved areas, one field overlooking the Vecht River. The only sounds you'll hear here are birds, chattering flocks of geese, and frog choirs in the evening. The campsite is situated in the river's floodplains, so yes, parts of the fields can get soaking wet. There's a small beach where dogs are allowed off-leash, as well as a large field adjacent to the campsite. Basic sanitary facilities: spacious, clean, and tidy. We found the cold water for the sinks to be very (too) basic. There's a neat covered dishwashing area, with hot water available at a separate tap. There's a waste disposal point for camper grey water. Spacious covered bicycle storage. The camping fields are truly pitch black at night; there's only lighting at the sanitary facilities. There are no children's facilities; the campsite caters to adults. There are lovely walks right from the campsite, including a beautiful stretch of open, sunny forest nearby. Beautiful area for car-free cycling (never seen so many storks), although the two-way cycle paths are quite narrow in some places. Dalfsen (30 minutes by bike) is a charming little town with a charming town center. Ommen (also 30 minutes by bike) is more urban and busier. For those interested: there's one thrift store in Dalfsen, two in Ommen. We'd love to come back 🌸

Beautiful SVR campsite situated on the Vecht River. Enjoy a refreshing dip in the morning. Clean sanitary facilities. The welcome was a bit disappointing because we hadn't met the managers yet.
