I visited the swimming pool hall of "Camping Molenhof" with a dayticket for 4 EUR ( I traveled by train from Bielefeld to Oldenzaal with 49 EUR/m Deutschlandticket, by bicyle 10km to the location ). The staff at the reception is German speaking - Great. It was a September day with mild temperatures, pleasant warm weather, the sun shine most of the time. The movable swimming pool hall roof was closed, and the swimming pool hall was heated well. A special feature at hot Summer days is, that roof can be moved and the swimming pool hall is turned into an outdoor swimming pool. The staff at the reception told me, that the movable hall is about 15y old, before the swimming pool was an ordinary outdoor swimming pool. Great upgrade! Since September is low season, I was almost alone in the pool and enjoyed that too. I enjoyed the tube slide and to swim in the 25m swimming pool hall with 1.40m water debth. The whole swimming hall building including the changing & toilet area were clean and in good conditions. I deposited my bag with valuables in a small wardrobe, for a 1 EUR pledge. However there are no large wardrobes. As ususal in the Netherlands, there is just 1 common shower area for both males and females. The tube slide is by default "off", so no water flows down. The water is turned on, by a sensor, if you go upstairs to the tube slide start. There is no human swimming pool master and no human lifeguard withing the building. You have to find out for yourself that the water for the tube slide is turned on by a sensor. No supervision by a lifeguard ( in other Dutch swimming pools often equipped with a whistle! ) means that all swimmers have to behave sensibly. That was the case on the day I visited. The dimensions of the changing room with toilets and the shower area are small for a 25m swimming pool with tube slide. And just very limited number of small wardrobes. So it is expected by design, that most swimming pool visitors are resident campers, not day tourists. But no space problem at my day of visit. My one-time paper ticket was just for the swimming pool hall. So there was no kiosk, no restaurant services within this swimming pool area. I had a calm and sunny swimming time.
