A beautiful nature campsite❤️❤️. All sheltered spots, a quiet campsite, and very natural. Hammock camping is also possible. The sanitary building is fine, not luxurious, but clean and everything works. Nice showers! There is a beautiful lake by the campsite with very clear water. The manager is very friendly and extremely helpful. We had severe weather, after which she walked around the campsite to check if everyone was okay and/or needed help! Had a lovely stay and I will definitely be back.

A visit to the Vilsteren estate is highly recommended for anyone who enjoys peace, nature, and culture. Several hiking trails have been laid out, taking you past the estate's most beautiful spots. You can pick up maps at the estate center for €1. The center is located in an old farmhouse (Erve Borrink) in the village center, next to the church, where you can also park. Follow the trails using the provided route description. The landscape varies in height and offers beautiful viewpoints and rest areas along the way. After a walk or bike ride, it's pleasant to relax at Herberg de Klomp.

The historical core of the estate is very charming and picturesque. There's a beautiful eighteenth or nineteenth century manor house and garden, which sadly isn't accessible to the general public. There's also a church and a windmill. All of these buildings are pretty, even if there's not much special about the church or windmill. The periphery of the estate isn't quite as pretty. There are some large dairy farms that are a bit of an eyesore, especially the ones that are poorly maintained. A considerable portion of the estate is made up of woodland and pastures, and this part is great for hiking. There are some longer trails as well as midsize towns (with train station) at about five (Ommen) and eight (Dalfsen) kilometers. There are several places to spend the night, including a hotel, at least one B&B and several campgrounds nearby.
