Camping Ter Leede is one of the most memorable campsites I have ever visited. The owner and his family gave us a fabulous welcome and were incredibly hospitable throughout our five night stay. The whole site is kept immaculate and the services all maintained to the highest standards. The toilets and showers etc are brilliant ( and so is the background music). My wife and I can’t thank John Paul and his family enough for their assistance at all times and will return in the future.

I personally wouldn’t recommend, their website goes extensively into how ‘they care for their customers and want the best experience possible’, but that is far from our experience. After staying in campsites for 6 months right across Europe, this has been the worst one so far. We have never had problems before with 6 amp electricity at campsites, but this campsite none of our appliances worked and kept tripping the power, so we paid the fee to be upgraded to 10 amp. Then at checkout we were told to pay based on a metered rate? How do we know what we started at and used whilst there? What was the original meter reading & why wasn’t that supplied when we arrived? And still wanted to charge us €6 euro for electricity & €1.5 a day to 10amp plus metered? That’s dodgy. The campsite is full of mosquitos from the stagnant water behind it, wifi you have to pay for a laptop when it drops out all the time, dangerous road out the front for push bikes, showers are paid but only take a €0.50 coin so good luck if you don’t have one, water fill up point has no pressure and dribbles out slowly. The whole campsite was just a 60+ site, wouldn’t recommend for younger couples. There are fantastic sites in Netherlands, but this campsite completely missed the mark and just feels like a money grab at every opportunity possible.
