If you're looking for peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings, you'll love it here. The owner is very friendly. There's a swimming pool next door, run entirely by volunteers. Hats off! During the day, this pool is open at three different times: 7:00/9:30 AM, 1:00/2:30 PM, and 7:00/8:30 PM. If you're coming with children, please keep this in mind. For a small fee, you can use it at these three times. The pool is heated, which is very convenient on less pleasant days; it still invites you to go for a swim. There are two restrooms: one new with music, the other a bit dated, but clean and without music. You have plenty of choice. The walking and cycling routes are endless. Spacious and green spaces. The people in the area are friendly and helpful. There's a supermarket within walking distance, as well as a chip shop and a pizzeria. There's also a delicious waffle and pancake restaurant in Oud-Aalden. So have fun in Zweeloo, where peace and friendliness are paramount.

Camping De Knieplande, Zweeloo, NL Thanks to the ACSI app, we spontaneously booked a spot at this small, well-maintained campsite on Good Friday. The friendly owners let us choose a pitch on one of the grassy areas. Since we loved the beautiful surroundings with their hiking and cycling trails so much, we stayed until Wednesday, contrary to our original plan. The sanitary facilities looked good and very clean, but we didn't use them. We had the entire camping area to ourselves the whole time. With ACSI, we paid €21, plus a €1 "energy surcharge" and a €1.35 tourist tax per person per night, so €25.70 per day for two people. We went on bike rides every day; the cycle paths in the Netherlands are fantastic. On our departure day, we got stuck after a night of continuous rain. However, the friendly owner organized someone to tow us out within minutes. We would love to come back to this idyllic campsite.
