A 5 minute cycle ride outside of Dokkum is a lovely, quiet campsite. The road to the campsite winds its way through open fields to the large Barn building. There is no signage to tell you where Reception is located but if you go to the left hand side of the barn, on the door is a Bell, just ring the Bell and Marion will come and welcome you. When we arrived it had not stopped raining for some time so we stayed on the Concrete pad which was fine. The toilets, showers, washkabins and dish washing facilities were new a few years ago but they all worked perfectly. Be careful the water is HOT here. There is hot and cold water at the washkabin, and the dish washing. There are no coins needed for the showers and no time limit, you control how hot or cold you want your shower via the mixer tap. The shower cubicles are a little bigger than we have found at other campsites. There is a microwave and a washing machine for guests to use. There are also Chukkie eggs for guests at 30c each. Your Cycle's can be stored overnight in the Barn where there are Battery charging points. And the toilet dump is accessed by the concrete pad. The pitch's are on grass and very close to the Canal, it is very picturesque. There is a cycle path alongside the canal which goes into Dokkum, the supermarket is this side of Dokkum so very close to campsite. We were only here for 2 nights, wish we could have stayed a little longer, maybe later in the year. Would we come back........YES, we like it here. Thank you Marion and Leo. Dave & Jan

Really welcoming hosts! We went there with our mini tent and they helped us with some chairs and table to chill in the garden. They have fresh eggs for sale and a cosy space to have breakfast inside. They are located by the canal so one can sit and watch the boats pass by.
