We stayed at Ny Wybranda for 4 nights during the autumn break with our own caravan. Location: Great! A beautiful, quiet spot to unwind. Upon arrival around 12:00, there was no one at the reception. While walking around the yard, we ran into the farmer. After a short chat, we were able to go to our pitch. A nice field with a view of the meadows and 10 amps of electricity. Absolutely fine. Sanitary building In good order with 2 toilets, 2 showers, 2 small sinks, and a kitchen counter with sinks for washing dishes. The showers could be better; the shower curtain was dirty, and the drains didn't drain properly. Our daughters had prepared themselves for caring for animals, feeding them, walking the pony, and experiencing the farm life. That is how it is described on the Ny Wybranda website. Unfortunately, this was a big disappointment. Our daughters spent a lot of time with the horses, goats, and the calf. They did nothing in the 5 days. Although the farmer clearly sees that three girls are very interested in the animals and would love to do something, unfortunately, no action was taken by the farmer to let the girls help out or do anything else. This was a major disappointment. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is a really fine place; we also slept wonderfully. But we would not go here again for the children. The experience was completely lacking.

We stayed here for a few days as a base for various bike rides, including to Sneek, Harlingen, Grou, and Bolsward. It's a small, simple campsite. The sanitary facilities, etc., are excellent. Friendly owners, and the various animals on the farm are very enjoyable.

Our family of four camped here a long time ago, about 20 years ago, and it was fantastic for us little boys. Farmer Piet immediately took the boys under his wing, and they had a blast playing. There was nothing, yet everything you could wish for. It's a long way from civilization, but wonderfully peaceful. I hope to camp again someday, and definitely stay here for a few nights.
