Upon arrival, call the mobile number, then the owner comes to show you to a spot; no water, no electricity; call the mobile again, see him turn off the phone from a distance, walk over to him because of no power and no water. In short, not a warm welcome; I had paid in advance, never saw anyone again, he is not focused on the customer. An enormous number of mosquitoes, but that is to be expected with a lot of Frisian water. The fairly recent building where you can wash dishes and where toilets and showers are available is not maintained or minimally maintained, not clean, the exterior is also in need of a clean-up; in short, why did this man start a campsite? No bread service, you are located on a busy road; we have access to car transport, but if you are here by bike or on foot, there is absolutely nothing to eat or drink. The food truck has limited opening hours and a limited selection. Camping spots and location are very nice, and a nice bike ride with the ferry to Workum, and otherwise perfectly doable.

This campsite is an ideal spot for lovers of peace and quiet and nature. It offers many opportunities for water sports and has a small beach where you can easily access the water (swimming, stand-up paddleboarding, or laser). The campsite has spacious pitches, and the owner is very friendly. The nearest village is about 3 km away (Gaastmar), so a bike is handy if you don't want to rely solely on a car. It's a true oasis of tranquility, and the Frisians would say it's a "Daalders plakje," meaning it's a precious and beautiful place.

Beautiful, spacious campsite with various facilities. Unfortunately, cleaning is not their strong suit. Simply hanging up a notice stating that toilet bowls turn grey due to the wastewater system is really not enough.
