It was perfectly fine; we felt very comfortable. The furnishings are rather randomly thrown together and might not be to everyone's taste. The whirlpool doesn't work properly and should be overhauled at some point, although reading the reviews from other tenants suggests this has been the case for some time. The floorboards in the hallway also creak terribly. There's a double bed in the large living room. A pellet stove heats the room. The other double bed is in a bedroom, which is heated by a gas stove. There's also a children's room. The kitchen is well-equipped with plenty of dishes and other utensils, including a fully automatic coffee machine. Everything was clean and OK. The main road through the small town of Molkwerum runs right past the house and is relatively busy during the day. However, you don't hear much of it in the house itself. The price/performance ratio is absolutely fair. If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you. There's not much going on in the town itself. The dike, with its very small sandy beach, can be reached on foot in about 5-10 minutes. On windy days, this area is popular with surfers. The campsite is directly behind the dike, and there's a restaurant attached. In the town center itself, there's a small church and a small café serving homemade cakes and coffee. Unfortunately, it was closed when we were there. A trip to Stavoren or Hindeloopen is worthwhile. Both towns are just 5 km away. There you can rent bikes or do your shopping at the supermarket. These charming little towns are very well-developed for tourism and invite you to take a relaxing stroll.

De Wijmerts 10, old farmhouse: On a busy main road. Many (sometimes very high) thresholds inside, dangerously slippery bathroom floor, old, rickety kitchen, low toilet without a sink, and no grab rails anywhere. Definitely not suitable for the elderly, people with disabilities, which isn't apparent from the description and the way the photos were taken. Dining room chairs are practically falling apart. The smell of cat urine is present in several places inside, which is masked with scented sticks. It's a shame customers aren't warned about this.

Had a lovely weekend away with my girlfriend. It was very peaceful, with plenty of rest and relaxation. The only downside is that there's only one supermarket nearby, but that's fine. A lovely fishing village nearby (Stavoren) was just a lucky coincidence, as it was the fishing days. We popped in again in the evening, and all the boats were beautifully lit. The campsite itself was fully equipped.
