I'm not sure I should even advertise this campsite, because if it gets crowded, it loses its greatest charms: peace and quiet. But maybe it won't actually be crowded if more people arrive, because the pitches are spacious; there's plenty of space between them, and cars are parked nearby, but not in the camping fields. Another charm: its simplicity. All amenities are there, but not in a luxurious way. Clean, though. Last but not least: from the campsite, you can walk straight into the wilderness and beauty of the Peel region.

A small oasis of nature. At the end of a no-through road lies this SVR campsite with direct access into the woods. You are greeted by the lovely couple who own it and given a tour to choose your spot on one of the two grass fields where you can place your lodging (Camper/Caravan/Tent) any direction you like! No regimented parking here! The first field is ideal for those sun lovers, whilst the second is shaded with Walnut, Horse chestnut and other trees. Once sorted there is ample parking for your vehicle in the shady side lane or the car park. Site offers electricity at each spot, whilst cold water points are accessible in both fields and hot in the Facilities building Facilities, whilst to some at first glance may appear dated, as everything is tiled, they are cleaned every day and serviceable, they have just upated all the hardware to top end products to all the washing & shower rooms. There is a lounge for campers usage with information about the locality and events and there is also spare seating for those with tents or for guests and great wi-fi across the site. This is more an adult site as there is no children play area although its a great spot to stay overnight if you want to visit Toverland. Site is very dog friendly and allows them space as they must be kept on leash on the site. It is a great area for cyclists and walkers. Head into the woods early enough and you will catch sight of the wildlife and birds. Closest village is Helenaveen (3km) which has a Hotel/Restaurant & snackbar. Liessel is a bit further (8km) which has a Supermarket, Restaurants & snackbars/icecream parlour. This is definitely a place to sit, catch your breath, take life easy and just enjoy being in the world for a while.

Lovely campsite, beautiful, spacious pitches. Super friendly owners, ideal with dogs. Wonderful showers without coins or hassle, and a cozy chat room. Beautiful hiking area and Brabant hospitality! Highly recommended! Do bring a bottle of Deet, as you might encounter some gnats.
