A lovely, small, basic campsite, right next to a large forest with many hiking trails. Very friendly hosts, who occasionally pop around the campsite for maintenance or a chat. Because the grass isn't always neatly mowed like a billiard table, you'll see plenty of wildlife, including butterflies, birds, caterpillars, frogs, lizards, and other (nocturnal) creatures. A campsite you'll happily return to 😊

Reading previous reviews, I wonder if these campers discussed their negative experiences with the campsite owners. We don't think it's appropriate to post negative experiences without a response, especially when you could have known some things beforehand by looking at the campsite's website. We really disagree with these reviews. This was our sixth year at the campsite, and you wouldn't do that if you didn't like the campsite. It's a wonderfully peaceful campsite where you can truly unwind. The campsite is situated in an orchard of various fruit trees, which you can enjoy snacking on if you like. Or you might suddenly find a bunch of grapes on your pitch, which the owner has handed out to you. The sanitary facilities are always clean, and we've rarely had to wait for anyone in those six years. The surrounding area is also wonderful for both hiking and cycling. There's a beautiful area right behind the campsite. So we will definitely visit d'n Dikkenberg again. Thanks again for the wonderful time.

Stayed here in my tent on an overnight bike trip in August 2023. I would NOT recommend this site for cyclists or walkers with tents, it really is a site for caravans/camper vans and well let's say, an older generation. I'd go to Camping Hoeve instead! Site is in a small orchard and actually quite claustrophobic. Toilet and shower x 1 for males, x 1 for females. Toilet paper in toilets and clean. Washing up area with hot water (from boiler). Sorry, not for me. Not cool bananas.
