Lovely open site,great sized pitches.There are so many grass and woodland areas. The facilities have always been very clean and of a very good standard. Lots of cycling in the area as you wood expect in a national forest area. Restaurant and takeaway available. Staff in reception are polite and very helpful, No negatives here

Honestly, this was a really disappointing experience. I booked this vakantiepark because on the website it sounded like exactly what my kids and I needed - a quiet getaway with lots to do for the kids, including a lovely play lake and kids activities. This is not what we experienced. The playlake was flooded and crawling with bugs. We spent ages following the map to find it, got stuck in mud, bitten by mosquitoes and asked around where the playlake is - but nobody knew. Eventually we ask reception and they said it has been unusable for 6 months! This is something that should at the very least have been mentioned at check-in, but that actually should be noted on the website - when an amenity is unavailable, that could be a deal breaker. I wouldn't have booked at all had I known this. The kids club people were unenthusiastic and low-energy. Not a smile to be seen. My kids asked me if they were forced to work there. Not a good experience. The jump cushoin only opens at 12noon, not much for kids to do before then. No quiet in sight: The little house next to ours is lived in permanently, and they started renovations with really loud machinery at 8am on Saturday morning. This continued for hours. Again, not a good experience when you're booking a place for the peace and quiet repeatedly mentioned on the website. On a more practical note: - only half a roll of single ply toilet paper is provided - no dish soap - no salt or pepper (two separete sets of neighbours came to our house to ask if we had any to spare, so this is clearly an issue!) - no toaster - no hairdryer - no hand soap in bathroom (basically none of the absolute basics that you need to be comfortable for a few days) BUT you get a luxury welcome pack with chocolates and wine - the priorities here are totally wrong. - when you book for one adult with two kids (like I did) you only get enough bedding to cover half the big bed. No, I'm not joking - you get a sheet big enough only for half the bed and a single pillow case. I would never recommend this place to anyone, and I really regret the money I wasted on this experience.

Nice holiday resort and campsite at the Heuvelrug in the centre of the Netherlands. Very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed during an extremely wet period and they were so helpful in finding a reasonable place in which our campervan could stay and get out without soaking in the puddles. The camp is large but with small and cosy fields. Toilet building large enough and clean. Buying bread online a bit of a hassle, but the bread itself tasty and fresh. On the more expenses, but good value for money if not too wet like it was when we stayed there.
