I'm really sorry to give such a bad review. The area with the animals and the hostess have their charm and it has the potential to be a really sweet corner. BUT our accommodation was super dirty. We are not spoiled and are not hygiene fanatics, but it was far too unhygienic and we felt very uncomfortable. Hair from previous owners in every closet was still the least of the problems. Cobwebs EVERYWHERE and of course no fly screens, so you couldn't provide the much-needed ventilation in the evenings. Why urgently necessary? The bathroom was a disaster, full of mold stains (which were quite easy to remove…) and a very unpleasant smell. Also leftover excrement in the toilet and of course the obligatory hair from previous guests on the tiles. At the end we also discovered that the mattress had mold spots - that also explains the musty smell. We have had many different holiday apartments and take one or two oddities with humor. But I have to say that I have never felt so uncomfortable. Even though I love animals, the mini farm couldn't pull it off. It should be forbidden to rent out the accommodation in this way. We didn't mention the deficiencies during our stay because we initially thought we could ignore them/ clean a bit for ourselves and then realized that this condition couldn't be explained by negligent cleaning once, but rather that some things had been left to slide here for a long time. What I haven't mentioned yet is that the price is significantly too high compared to the quality offered. My partner compared it to an ugly room he had in Guatemala – now that’s a statement. It's a real shame about the facility, but we certainly won't be coming back. P.S.: The washing machine (which was charged for) was also broken and the laundry wasn't really clean/had a strange smell.

What a little gem, this hidden campground with great hospitality and quirky character. We stayed with our little tent and made good use of the sheltered seating area. We were also offered free bikes to bike to Veere for the evening.
