We spent a weekend with our caravan at De Groene Waard. It's a small campsite nestled in the green countryside, perfect for cycling. The campsite itself also has a lovely green area. The electrical outlets are a bit far away, but you can borrow an extension cord from the owner, who is very friendly. The sanitary facilities are dated, but if you don't look up, they look clean. There's only one shower for the men's and one for the women's. We were pitched at the back of the field, and the Wi-Fi there was absolutely terrible. The piggies and free-range chickens made up for it, though.

A lovely, well-maintained small campsite. Spacious pitches. If all pitches are occupied, which wasn't the case this time, two showers would be a bit cramped. The sanitary facilities are dated, but clean and perfectly usable. The campsite itself is very quiet, but you do hear a lot of rural noise in the surrounding area, and you can hear the A27 when the wind blows from that direction, but we didn't find it disturbing. The area is great for cycling. The supermarket is a kilometer and a half away.

Lovely quiet campsite, exceptionally friendly owners... you can always approach them with questions. Spacious pitches... the toilet block is a bit dated but super clean... close to the city of Gorinchem (UNESCO city), definitely worth a visit!! Many cycling routes around (Alblasserwaard), highly recommended 👍
