Camping was good, site is maintained, has a Heineken can bar but will close early if not full. Owner is less sociable, younger guy is ok. This is a cash only venue which is difficult as the closest shop for cash or supplies is a half hour walk each way(If you can find it) Bicycle hire from somewhere would be recommended if you dont have transport. The walk to Assen TT circuit is a 15/20 minute walk at a pace, and know which entrance you are going in if buying tickets as some gates on the campsite side may be closed and its a walk to the main gate. Facilities are ok at the beginning of the weekend, but can go downhill fast depending on numbers etc... No food or drink brought in can be consumed inside, which is ok, but again you will need to have cash to hand...and if you dont drink Heineken.. tough look johnny... Overall experience was ok, but not the warmest of vibes from owner from the point of arrival on...would i go again? maybe, maybe not... possibly look at other sites or just look at other types of accommodation.

I've been here twice for motogp. I'm sure if you go when the Assen motogp isn't on it's great, to be fair even when it is on it's above average. The beer is reasonable 4 Euro and the food is tasty and reasonable too. The toilets can become proper horrible with a camp site of bikers. The 3 showers can have a 45minute+ wait and have a pretty poor output BUT on the positive side the water is hot. The guys on ATV's can be bullies but that's kinda understandable when you have obligations to fulfil and bikers taking all they can. The atmosphere is fantastic on the run up to race day, the music is great, no fights just good humour from all nationalities. There does seem to be a wierd aversion to supplying power to a tent which I don't understand, expect some form of argument about power for a tent even if you requested it when booking. I think if there were more showers, the toilets cleaned regularly and more power hook ups it'd be great.
