We had a wonderful week in Drenthe with our two dogs. Every day we had a different off-leash area. It's a lovely campsite with plenty of options for staying. We were there with our caravan. Brian is a great host, and no request was too much trouble. We were able to borrow tools, and when friends stayed overnight, we could use the recreation room. They even turned on the pellet stove for us when we asked. The next morning, Brian asked if it needed to be turned on again. The showers are wonderfully warm. Behind the campsite is a small nature reserve where you can easily walk your dogs on a leash. Deer were right in front of us almost every day. We did encounter dog owners from Zuidlaarderveen twice who ignored leash regulations, but the campsite owners can't do anything about that. And one more thing, because I've also read reviews. We think it's understandable that the campsite owners are careful with their grass. Everyone benefits from that. It was wet, and the sandy soil makes the grass vulnerable. We will definitely come back again!

After renting several cottages, we're back with our own mobile home... an ideal spot to try out our new campervan and awning. Although it was a nice, spacious spot to drive to, we were grateful for the directions, which helped us find the perfect spot right away without damaging the campervan (or trees 😉). Excellent sanitary facilities with a good, hot shower. It's great that you can do the dishes indoors even in bad weather. And the fresh rolls in the morning were a real treat, so you don't have to lug your own oven! Our dogs had a wonderful time too.

Just got back from 10 days of camping with the caravan; thoroughly enjoyed the surroundings and the spacious pitch. Super friendly owners. Our little dogs also enjoyed barking at passersby 😅 (apologies). We were also there earlier this year during Pentecost; unfortunately for us, the weather was terrible, but we still enjoyed the weekend despite having our own camping equipment 😅 We will definitely be back next year! Small downside: no croissants 🤭
