We stayed at the campsite with our own caravan. Our spot (Balou) was spacious and close to the playground. The campsite itself was fine and absolutely fantastic for the kids. What we found really annoying was that "our" spot, which was adjacent to Jan and Saskia's house, was actually their dog's toilet. Every day we woke up to find droppings, and we saw the dogs constantly peeing near our spot. When we confronted them about it, they acted harshly as if we were saying something strange, but they did keep an eye out and clean up after themselves. We were told that everyone loves their dogs and that's a farm campsite, etc. We've always had dogs ourselves (our dog wasn't with us), and their dogs were very sweet too, but I don't want to see droppings when I pay a fortune for our spot. The dogs were constantly coming into the awning and rummaging in the sink, and one of them even stole our food! When I went to warn Saskia that the dog had taken food and might get sick, she apparently knew what had happened, but she didn't even tell us. We understand that these things can happen, but not once did they apologize or warn us about the dogs' behavior. We've been to many campsites, but we've never experienced anything like this, and honestly, we find it unacceptable with small children around. Unfortunately, we won't be back again.

What a fantastic weekend we had here! We received a very warm welcome and were given a tour of the campsite. Every morning we could pick up delicious fresh bread rolls and we also enjoyed homemade pizza and marshmallows by the campfire. We had so many adventures, and the kids loved it all: brushing a pony near the tent, horseback riding, cuddling rabbits, feeding goats, collecting eggs from the chickens, driving a tractor through the meadows, feeding the horses with hay, and even sitting in the tractor. Farmer Jan and Saskia are incredibly sweet, caring, and hospitable. You can always call them with questions, and they explain everything enthusiastically. The beds are wonderfully comfortable, and I also noticed that the showers are very clean. There's even a family shower with extra space. This is definitely a place to visit!
