We chose this camp as it was fairly close to the nearest town, so could leave the motorhome parked up. The park is very clean and has everything you need, water, waste etc. Check in was very easy and well organised. Showers and toilets are very clean and easily accessible. There's a small beach area next to the canal with around 8 sunbeds. The camp is really quiet at night so a good night's sleep. Bus right outside the camp takes you into Alkmaar or Bergen. Town centre 25 mins walk, very easy or a 10mins bike ride Don't miss Alkmaar it's absolutely beautiful ❤️ we loved our stay here

Absolutely loved Camping Alkmaar, check in was smooth & site was spotlessly clean with great facilities. 25 minutes walk into the beautiful city of Alkmaar or just under 10 on a bike, local shop about 15 minutes walk away.

I have stayed here several times and always come back. I love the trekkers hutjes, they’re a perfect compromise between camping and a holiday house. They’re clean and cared for, like the rest of the campsite, spacious enough for two and all I need to pack is a towel. Staff are always friendly, and the location is super useful. Alkmaar centre is a short cycle away, but you’re less than 5 minutes from the countryside. From the campsite you can easily cycle to Bergen, Bergen aan zee or Egmond. The station is also a 10 minute cycle which means it’s easy to get further afield if you’d like. De Hoef is a little shopping centre a 15 minute walk away, and has supermarkets and a pharmacy for your necessities. All you need to pack is your toothbrush and a towel. Love it!
