Farm based caravan site. Electric/wifi/toilets and showers available . Lovely warm welcome from the Dutch owners. 2 fields , one with swings. Very peaceful.

A lovely, simple, peaceful farm campsite, a breath of fresh air compared to all the busy campsites on the coast. Very friendly owners, both over 80 years old, who come by for a friendly chat. Ideal for cyclists: Bruges, Knokke, and Cadzand are less than 20 km away, making it easy to cycle along beautiful cycle paths. The charming village of Sluis, with its many shops and restaurants, is a 10-minute bike ride away. Aardenburg is nearby, a beautiful village and less touristy. An ostrich farm is nearby and very worth a visit. Tip: have fries at FrituurVET in Aardenburg; it's been a long time since I've had such delicious, golden-brown fries.

We have just enjoyed four relaxing days at De Oliepot camping. The owners gave us a lovely, warm welcome. They gave us information about the local area. The three camping areas have generous sized pitches. The pitches are on grass and are level. All the pitches have EHU. The owner sets the EHU to your electricity requirements. The three camping fields have beautiful tall hedges, which cut down on any winds. The free WiFi was very reliable. The sanitary arrangements are very clean, 50 cents for a shower. There is a washing machine available to use at a small addition cost. Chemical toilet disposal is available in the farmyard. The campsite is within walking distance (1500m) of the small town of Aardenburg, which is worth a visit. A cycling route crosses the entrance to the site, and a lot of the clients took advantage of this. The campsite is open from 1st April until 1st October. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times. There are sheep and cows in the nearby fields. Our dogs enjoyed the walks into Aardenburg. We would definitely return to this campsite.
